Are you a graphic designer who would enjoy working on a wide variety of projects, with a great team, on a beautiful college campus? If so, you might be a great fit for The Citadel’s Office of Communications and Marketing. In this role, you will work with the Director of Marketing and Creative Director to create artwork and layouts for advertising, print collateral, publications, and special projects. Experience is preferred, but not required, so if you are a highly-motivated recent graduate with a strong portfolio and a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field, this is a rare opportunity for you to go straight to work for a unique, nationally-recognized institution!

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging designs for print and digital advertising
• Create layouts, artwork, and other visual elements for use in a wide variety of college materials
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that design solutions are effective

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• An understanding of design principles and the importance of maintaining brand standards
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Be able to work independently or as a member of a team
• Be prepared to share a strong portfolio of completed work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education is preferred but not required
• A working knowledge of video editing (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects) is a plus
