The Devices and Services (D&S) Trust & Security team works to ensure that our devices and services are designed and implemented to the high standards required to maintain and enhance customer trust. Security and Privacy are paramount to maintaining trust and we need to continue to build trusted products, maintain and operate trusted environments, and advocate trust to customers and stakeholders. The team develops security automation for devices & services, performs penetration testing, and handles and tracks incident responses to resolution. The Trust team is responsible for enabling business growth and innovation while honoring data policies and controls that help protect customer trust. We are responsible for defining and executing on the security and privacy requirements across the entire organization.
The Amazon Devices and Services organization designs and engineers Amazon products like Kindle, Alexa, Echo, Fire tablets, Fire TV, and more.
Key job responsibilities
The Supply Chain Assurance Specialist is a cross functional role at Amazon the works across organizations and teams to align objectives, plans, and operations into a seamless program designed to achieve world class supply chain assurance capabilities. The position facilities dialog and information exchange, develops and maintains information and artifacts, authors and manages policies, procedures, standards, and requirements. The role Develops reporting and metrics for management review and manages security and compliance information sharing internally within Amazon and to the supplier community.
A day in the life
The role is focused heavily on process and data and will be a key focal point for information tooling related to supply chain assurance. All reporting, documentation, internal and external messaging, and real time information display will be within the focus area of the position. Capture, evaluation, and safeguarding of 3rd party compliance data is a key program function.
About the team
The Devices and Services, Supply Chain Assurance team is responsible for assuring that all hardware and software produced by any of the global Amazon suppliers meets security and reliability standards. We develop and maintain supplier governance standards; identify and assess 3rd party risk and exposure information; and execute multiple compliance efforts to assure suppliers meet Amazons stringent protection requirements. We provide outreach, training and support to suppliers to build an assured system of trust.
- Masters degree in a technical discipline or MBA.
- Experience working with Archer,ServiceNow, Metricstream, Allgress, Jira, or other GRC platform Tools.
- Experience building corporate level governance documentation repositories and artifact catalogs.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience as a project manager or product manager with lifecycle responsibilities
- Experience in a fast-paced development environment using LEAN, Agile, SCRUM development processes.
- Exceptional organization skills managing artifacts and evidence to chain of custody level standards.
- Experience as a technical writer.
- Demonstrable experience managing and maintaining organizational policy or documentation repositories
- Experience with configuration/change management practices.
- Software repository and commit experience.
- Development of organizational training materials.
