What will you be doing

As a Grounds Supervisor, you will

Care and maintain landscape areas, including flowers beds, shrubs, trees, grass, irrigation system, weed control, landscape new projects, including frequency of task and expectations

Lead, enforce, and participate in workplace safety, including but not limited to safe working conditions, proper use of tools and equipment, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Services equipment and makes field repairs and adjustments

Operates equipment in picking up and delivering materials, debris, and supplies

Familiarity with all aspects of Grounds and Landscape duties from equipment usage, fertilizing, irrigation, hardscape, plantings, manicuring turf and ornamental beds, horticulture, mulching, mowing, and all other aspects that would be required as a Grounds and Landscape Supervisor

Assist in the development, implementation, and management of preventative maintenance (PM) program for all grounds responsibilities and grounds equipment

Performs feeding and watering of trees, shrubs, flowers, weeds, insects, and disease control of turf

Prepares, implements, and supervises work/shift schedules based on work priorities, employee availability, equipment and resources, and weather conditions

Inspects, evaluates, and reports damaged equipment.

Education for Grounds Supervisor

A high school education or equivalent is helpful. Effective verbal English communication is needed. This position requires full mobility, continuous movement, and constant, strenuous lifting up to 40 pounds.
