Our Harvard, IL location is seeking a utility worker to perform various manual labor activities that may include sweeping and cleaning floors and work areas, picking up papers and refuse from grounds, heavy lifting and moving materials, making minor repairs, mowing lawns, and shoveling snow. As a utility worker you’ll be working the first shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Utility Worker Duties and Responsibilities

• We will train you how to properly performs physical upkeep of warehouse and general office areas.
• We will train you how to properly maintain floors, hallways, stairways, and carpeted areas in the facility in a safe, well maintained, and clean condition, removing obstacles, debris, spills as needed.
• We will train you how to properly operate a variety of manual and automated cleaning equipment.
• We will train you how to properly perform basic maintenance on the grounds around the facility.
• We will train you how to properly work as part of the team to manage spills, hazardous material issues and other work-related safety issues.

Utility Worker Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Paid training.
• Basic reading ability is required.
• Knowledge of general safety procedures and measures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
