We are currently seeking a Group Marketing Manager for the technology vertical at KARL STORZ. In this role, you will lead a team of technology marketing professionals and develop skills amongst the team to address new and emerging trends. This role is responsible for the development and deployment of marketing strategies and content to grow and drive market share growth of medical capital equipment in the surgical and procedural endoscopic video imaging/networked device portfolio.

This role will be based at our El Segundo, CA office and offer the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule; position will be required to be onsite 2+ times per month.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Leadership

  • Lead downstream marketing teams
  • Establish and track metrics to monitor against performance goals and strategies.
  • Effectively motivate a team and inspire collaboration and success

Marketing

  • Lead the development, testing and implementation of brand messaging, campaigns and marketing materials
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans and commercialization strategies.
  • Inspire creativity & collaborate globally

Strategy

  • Develop and deploy strategy in both the Acute and non-Acute segments, including the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) space given the trends related to the Surgical and Procedural Endoscopic Video Imaging portfolio, specifically AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Networked devices (cloud-based applications)
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Operations department to develop revenue generation models that meet customers’ needs
  • Continually maintain portfolio prioritization and product strategy

Collaborate cross functionally

  • Lead and work collaboratively across all US corporate functions, including Enterprise Sales & Service, Revenue Operations, other Marketing Specialties, Medical Affairs and more.
  • Lead and work strategically with the Sales Organization to understand our internal-customer needs and also be acutely in tune to the Customer needs
  • Lead and work effectively with the Global Marketing and Product Management/Development organizations related to global campaigns, roadmap planning, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience, preferably in the medical device marketing industry
  • 3+ years of demonstrated people management and development experience
  • Prior experience developing marketing strategy for medical technology, equipment, networked devices and software solutions preferred
  • Experience in networked devices
  • Experience with revenue generation models around XaaS
  • Experience managing strategy in the ASC (Ambulatory Surgery Center) space
  • Track record of working collaboratively in a matrixed environment
  • Proven track record of successful portfolio results
  • Demonstrated outstanding personal and team leadership
  • A true team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and lead with executives both within the company, its partners, and its clients
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Highest standards of ethical behavior
  • Excellent at multitasking, given prioritization and timelines
  • Willingness to travel 30%
