JOB SUMMARY

The Haul Driver and Yard Coordinator will be responsible for hauling trucks and ensuring rental units are always rental ready and ensures the units are processed properly for departure and return. This position will also be responsible for the washing and cleaning of equipment inventory by utilizing such materials as water, cleaning agents, brushes, cloths, pressure washers, and hoses.

JOB DUTIES

• Hauls trucks to and from clients and/or Buda office as needed
• Takes trucks to inspections and picks up parts
• Ensures rental units are processed properly for departure and return
• Starts truck, checks fuel level and makes sure fuel tank is full
• Takes photos and documents any damage prior to departure and after return
• Ensures necessary paperwork is in the unit
• Pulls unit up if customer is onsite or to the wash bay as needed
• Starts all rental trucks on the ready line each week to check batteries
• Keeps ready line organized at all times
• Decals all new rental units
• Coordinates service needs with mechanic(s) as needed
• Closes work orders and charges customers for applicable expenses
• Washes and cleans all equipment and machines that enter the wash bay ensuring all equipment is ready for the Service Department to maintain, repair and troubleshoot the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine Heavy Equipment
• Assists Buda team with routine inspections, minor repairs, and general maintenance
• Works closely with the Buda Rent Manager to determine the equipment’s order priority
• Will be responsible for utilizing a pressure washer to clean general rental equipment from large trucks to small tools
• Must maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Communicates and coordinates equipment status and inventory with Buda office
• Completes other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision or instruction
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including but not limited to hot and cold climates, wet and unstable grounds, highly humid, or highly dry areas
• Ability to complete washes in a timely manner
• Must be able to communicate and work well with Manager(s) and team members
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate in a verbal and written format clearly and concisely
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to drive a haul truck
• Ability to travel as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work in an outside environment with inclement weather conditions (including heat, cold, dampness, humidity, etc.)
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move items or bulky objects up to 30 pounds
• Ability to perform the repeated motions of reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment
• Ability to climb and stand on a ladder while using cleaning equipment

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must pass a criminal background and submit to preemployment and random drug tests.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle check.
• Mechanic experience preferred
• CDL License (CLASS A) required

Job Type: Full-time
