Henderson Huskies JUCO Football Job Title:

The Head Football Coach will lead, manage and direct all phases of the day-to-day operations of the Huskies football program, including but not limited to:

effective coaching and student-athlete development; successful recruitment, retention, and manage mandatory study hall; preparation, organization, design and implementation of effective practice plans, off-season programs, and recruiting; effective and timely budget management, equipment oversight, and travel planning in Nevada; a commitment to community engagement, fundraising and effective public relations; adherence to AJCAA, SSC and Henderson Huskies rules and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities: The Head Football Coach shall:

• Support the philosophy, goals, mission and championship culture of Henderson Huskies JUCO Football.

• Be responsible for the quality of the student-athlete experience.

• Be responsible for game preparation, strategy, and scheduling.

• Significantly demonstrate collegiate and ideally professional experience for players and coaches.

• Reflect a local profile with significant recruiting experiences.

• Have great leadership qualities, internal and publicly with the administration to help advance the Huskies football program.

• Ensure a culture of compliance by adherence to Henderson JUCO football, SSC, and AJCAA rules and regulations.

• Be strong in fiscal leadership and management executing the administration of player memberships, budget team finances, and program operations,

• Be an excellent brand ambassador of the Huskies program with effective fundraising efforts.

• Be an ardent communicator that cultivates positive internal and external interactions.

• Have the network and ability to bring high-level assistant coaches with playing experience.

• Meet with; prospective donors, media, enhance public relations and community efforts.

• Host camps, clinics, and recruitment events.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED is required and football experience; or a combination of high school collegiate and professional experience with expertise and demonstrated success in the technical and teaching aspects of coaching football. Playing experience is preferred.

Proven ability to organize and develop a comprehensive recruiting plan with proficiency in the successful retention and graduation of high school and JUCO football collegiate student-athletes.

High level knowledge and application of SSC and AJCAA rules and regulations; proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

The ability to coordinate and maintain regular communication with athletics staff, including the Commissioner of the AJCAA, Compliance, Sports Medicine, Business Office, Academics, Marketing and Media Relations, Game Films, Strength & Conditioning, and Facilities Operations.

Physical Requirements:

Duties require outdoor work with direct exposure to prevailing weather, extreme heat, humidity, and or cold. Physical ability to endure physically strenuous work-outs and physical exercise on a daily basis, including standing and/or walking for long periods, bending, stooping, lifting, and loud speaking. Ability to work hours outside the normal schedule. Physical ability to travel to games in Mesquite, Laughlin, Arizona or Utah! Games will not be no more than 3 or 4 hours on JUCO game days, but mostly in Nevada.
