Healthcare Administrator

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a Healthcare Administrator to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Clinics from Southampton to NYC. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role you will:

  • Manage our clinical and administrative staff and procedures in all of our South area offices and will need to travel to each. Mileage reimbursement.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical terminologies.
  • Be responsible for creating employee work schedules, maintaining patient records, and ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations.
  • Be professional and courteous, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Monitor the Dr.’s schedules and ensure patients are called for follow-up appointments.
  • Inform employees of new policies and other changes.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to identify their issues and needs.
  • Develop, implement and execute projects to increase patient satisfaction and organizational productivity.
  • Collaborate with leadership on improving workflows and mechanisms to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate in volunteer opportunities benefiting the organization and its patients
  • Train and mentor staff as required.
  • Serve as an active participant in the acquisition and merging of new practices.

We require:

  • A Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred and a Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hospital or clinical administration position.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical terminology.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional computer skills, Word/Excel.
  • Problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Reliable transportation to all offices (Mileage reimbursement).

Hours: Monday–Friday

Mileage reimbursement.
