Job description
We are a local Construction Company looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our Coplay location. Successful candidate will be able to work on heavy truck/small engine construction equipment. Repairs to equipment such as excavators, loaders, trenchers, and more. Applicants should have some experience with diesel heavy equipment repair so they can determine what parts and tools are necessary for repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines
- Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
- Complete shop paperwork/work orders
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and vendors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Post-secondary certificate or training as a mechanic (a plus)
- 2 to 5 years of experience with diesel/heavy equipment repair
- Manual dexterity
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (class A preferred)
- Class 7 state inspection license (a plus)
- ASE Auto and Truck preferred
