High School PLTW Engineering Teacher

Terms of Employment:

School year as established by the Board and Administrators
Salary - Step 1 - $38,000 ~ Board paid benefits included, actual contract amount will commensurate with qualifications and years of experience.

Current PLTW Engineering Courses at St. Clair High School:
Intro to Engineering Design (IED)
Principles of Engineering (POE)
Engineering Design and Development (EDD)
Engineering Essentials (EE)
Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM)

Qualifications:

Valid Missouri teaching certificate in the area applied for, or relevant work experience in the engineering field and willingness to work with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to receive certification.

Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward generating successful teamwork and a demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people in a variety of settings.

To create an academic program, directed by curriculum guides, which fosters learning in all subject areas taught; to create a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge, which contribute to the foundation of lifelong learning; to establish good relationships with parents, staff, and other community members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
