Job description

The Home Health Aide is a non-licensed member of the patient care team trained to provide personal care, activities of daily living and related services in the home for the sick and disabled when no family member can assume this responsibility. This position functions under the guidance and supervision of the staff nurse in providing personal care to the residents. This person will also schedule aides to assure we maintain at all times the highest degree of resident care.

Qualifications

• Computer experience and ability to use various software packages
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to do multiple tasks amongst interruptions
• Completion of a formal health aide/nursing assistant program is preferred
• Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions and keep appropriate records
• Hold current CPR and First Aid card
• Reliable and caring with excellent customer service and hospitality skills
