ALCE101 is searching for a hard-working host/hostess to add to our stellar team. We are a tequila bar & kitchen homed in Solana Beach. At ALCE101, guests can enjoy upscale Southwestern cuisine while sipping on crafted agave spirit cocktails.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests to the venue
• Plan/manage dining room floor plan according to reservations/wait list
• Provide accurate wait times & monitor waiting lists
• Take/manage reservations
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
• Greet customers upon their departure
• Take phone/takeout orders
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
• Assist wait staff as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience as a host preferred
• Understanding of general restaurant flow/etiquette
• Familiar with food safety regulations
• Strong interpersonal, multi-tasking & organizational skills

Job Requirements

• Must have a flexible schedule & must be available evenings, weekends, & holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 10lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours
