POSITION SUMMARY

The Host/Hostess greets and informs arriving guests on Brewery tours, table reservations, Taproom hours of operation, musical guests, and seating information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

• Welcomes guests in an enthusiastic and friendly manner
• Maintain constant communication with servers and bussers to ensure efficient seating and pub procedures
• Operate reservation system
• Maintain thorough, up-to-date knowledge of Brewery tour times and events schedules
• Demonstrate knowledge of the La Tropical brand, history, and products
• Assist private parties with seating reservations
• Responsible for cleanliness of host station; assists with organization and sanitation of taproom
• Monitor guests in accordance with taproom rules; escalating issues to management or security as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Personable, approachable, and friendly
• Punctual and reliable
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Must be able to demonstrate mature judgment in handling all matters
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
• Work well under pressure
• Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong verbal communication skills
• Teamwork oriented
• Experience with Open Table is preferred
• Knowledge of craft beer is desired

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to Bar Manager and Food & Beverage General Manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires moderate physical efforts. Standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, and pushing, lifting weights up to 25 pounds.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

• May be required to work additional hours as dictated by workload and staffing.
• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
