Job Summary:

This position is responsible for performing administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource department, including but not limited to documenting staff changes, recruitment, onboarding, and communications.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

· Maintain accurate an up to date human resource files, records and documentation.

· Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.

· Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

· Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

· Provides clerical support to the HR department.

· Prepare new hire packets

· Assist with annual open benefit enrollment process

· May assist with payroll functions, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, & data entry.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent interpersonal skills: must be able to maintain a positive demeanor, able to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs or related software.

· Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications.

Education and Experience:

· Must be pursuing a bachelor's or associate’s level degree in a Human Resources or Business Administration related field.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

· May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis.

· May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on frequent basis.
