Position Overview

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR and PAYROLL related duties and bi-weekly payroll and works closely with senior management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll, compliance reporting and notices, HR analytics, KPI reporting, training, policy implementation, oversight of benefits administration and performance management, and employment law compliance.

Essential Functions

· Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.

· Assist employees and managers as an HR point of contact for all markets.

· Perform bi-weekly payroll.

· Respond to Federal and State Withholding Orders and process them through the payroll provider.

· Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, prepare KPI reporting, and conduct HR analytics as needed.

· Provide leadership by implementing technology to streamline HR documents.

· Conduct New Hire Orientation, when directed.

· Responsible for updating HR Key Dates and Calendar of Events, to proactively prepare and meet required compliance actions and deadlines.

· Oversee and support workstreams regarding talent management and performance management.

· Oversee and support workstreams and billing for timely benefits administration, and COBRA compliance.

· Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations, and ensure compliance within the company, for all states and jurisdictions that the company operates in, especially California labor laws and regulations.

· Keep Company Handbook(s) up to date with new policies with local, state, and federal laws.

· Audit to ensure all markets have the correct and required compliance notices posted.

· Oversee and support questions regarding employee notice letters, such as Leave of Absence, Accommodations, employment, etc.

· Create companywide memos, as directed.

· Schedule and conduct compliance audits, as needed.

· Develop and implement strategies to retain top talent, including employee engagement programs.

· Promote and lead employee morale events.

· Perform other HR-related duties, as assigned.

· Approximately 25% travel required, visiting locations within U.S.

Additional Requirements

  • Proficient in reading, writing and speaking Spanish
  • 3 years of payroll experience (within the previous year)
  • 5 years of HR management experience (within the previous year)
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Professional HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

· Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in writing for business purposes.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office-based programs to manipulate data, reports, scheduling, and for data collection.

· Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
