Purpose/Mission

We are growing and ready to have an experienced HR Manager/Director join our team based out of our Wilsonville, OR offices (NOT REMOTE).

The HR Manager will play a critical role in building the infrastructure for Absco Solutions’ People function. As a strategic partner to the executive team and expert collaborator, this position will help guide the organization through its next phase of growth, introducing new systems, processes and practices that maximize employee impact and fuel engagement. This role provides leadership and guidance by developing and overseeing effective HR functions including, talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards, employee relations, employee engagement, training and development and compliance. This position oversees contract recruitment staff.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with the company leaders to define, develop, lead, and roll out scalable HR solutions (systems, process, and practices) that support Absco’s growth and business goals.
  • Acts as an advisor/coach providing HR expertise and guidance when appropriate on HR related matters. Coaches, counsels, and advises staff across all levels on employee relations and hiring/termination.
  • Build/enable a progressive talent acquisition strategy to attract talent to drive the Company’s growth plan.
  • Lead and develop practices around talent planning, succession planning, career development, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, performance management and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Cultivate a proactive and positive culture that translates to high levels of engagement, enablement, and retention through our people programs.
  • Develops and implements comprehensive compensation, benefits plans, and total reward programs that are competitive and cost-effective. Manages benefit renewals and open enrollment.
  • Leverages analytics and digital solutions to drive strategies for engagement, retention, culture change, and other relevant factors impacting employee engagement.
  • Implements new and enhances existing staff recognition and reward programs.
  • Prepares and analyzes HR metrics and provides reports that support decision making in specified areas.
  • Active participant in senior leadership team, attending meetings, presenting, and communicating on behalf of HR.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying abreast of new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Manages all compliance reporting requirements.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field, or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
  • Eight or more years of progressive HR experience; including 5+ years in a management/leadership capacity.
  • Culture leader with strong business acumen and ability to move seamlessly from strategy to implementation roll out.
  • Experience building and scaling HR programs, processes, and frameworks within a dynamic environment.
  • Experience spanning multiple HR disciplines including direct, hands-on experience in employee relations, employee engagement, organizational design and development, performance management and compensation benchmarking.
  • Leads performance management process iterations and maintenance of job description library.
  • Effective communication, coaching and facilitation skills and the ability to build trusted relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Must operate with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality and with excellent judgement.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations; Federal Labors Standards Act (FLSA), leaves of absence, EEOC and Affirmative Action plans; experience working with government contracts preferred.
  • Ability to travel 1-2 times per quarter to Absco Solutions locations within PNW.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 Suite, Applicant tracking systems (JazzHR preferred) and social media.
