Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The HR Representative has an active role in multiple HR processes. With a heavy focus on full-cycle recruitment and creating reports in excel. Source, interview, and present qualified candidates and compile reports related to affirmative action reporting, applicant flow, and turnover data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Screening resumes and applications.
- Embraces curiosity by asking the right, probing questions to understand the true nature of a team member's inquiry.
- Participate in recruiting activities such as representing Jupiter at job fairs, producing offer letters, initiating background checks, conducting orientations Screening resumes and applications.
- Source candidates through various recruiting methods, including advertising, job sites, social media, etc.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews
- Perform in-person, phone, and virtual interviews.
- Perform background checks.
- Coordinate pre-employment testing.
- Maintain an organized workflow by monitoring and following up on all items assigned, including seeing problems through to resolution and closure with team members
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Adhere to laws, rules, and regulations.
- Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, turnover, etc.
- Post internal jobs and analyze job descriptions and revise them as directed.
- Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and well-organized.
- Highly analytical with a natural curiosity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Proficient and comfortable using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Great time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to create and implement process improvements.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to walk, stand, sit, and talk or hear in person or by telephone.
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Use hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment.
- Occasional reaching with hands and arms
- Regularly lift 10 pounds.
- Regularly apply reasoning and common sense.
- Use muscles to lift, push, pull or carry objects.
