The HR Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource department.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain employee and contractor data in the Company's HRIS system: update address and personal contact information, tax information, and other payroll related information.
  • Assist in maintaining digital and electronic records of employees, including certifications
  • Manage the DMV pull program. Enter employee information into DMV website, delete inactive employee information.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected, filed, and archived appropriately.
  • Manage the employee pull program Drive list.
  • Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Respond to employee verification requests
  • Maintain the distribution of employee recognition rewards, birthday lists, and anniversary rewards.
  • Process employee training reimbursements
  • Update, create, and distribute employment safety poster information.
  • Assist in the facilitation of company meetings.
  • Manage the Company's Swag Store
  • Manage the Company's PPE inventory
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resource Staff as assigned.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma and at least two years experience working in an administrative role or
  • Associates degree in related field
  • Office experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to verbally communicate: convey detailed and accurate instructions and information.
  • Ability to hear with or without correction in order to receive and interpret detailed information.
  • Required to sit at a desk work station for long periods of time.
  • Push, pull, lift, carry at least 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 35 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to walk and stand.
  • Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to read contract documents, analyze data, view a computer monitor, and proof read documents to identify errors.
  • Required to use fingers and hands: type using a computer keyboard, handle, feel, and reach.
  • May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
