Job Description

JOB FUNCTION:


Responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties associated with supporting the plant’s Human Resource functions. Responsible for administering the employee benefits, ADP-Human Resources software and file management. Also assists the Human Resources Manager in administrating employee relations programs.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


[1] Operate and maintain ADP – Human Resources/Payroll System. Consists of payroll and HR Benefit information. This includes payroll changes and adjustments.


[2] Process all new hires and terminations.


[3] Handle all types of payroll deductions (uniforms, safety items, prescription eye forms, insurance, etc). This includes assisting employees with paperwork and input the data.


[4] Assist in maintaining updated personnel and medical files for all employees.


[5] Coordinate safety shoe and safety glasses programs, as needed.


[6] Assist with the administration of Employee Benefits: Accidental death and dismemberment, group life, accident and sickness benefit, medical, vision and dental group benefit plan, express scripts prescription drug plan, PCC 401k,


[7] Prepare presentations and necessary reports or queries, and collection of data concerning Employee Benefits.


[8] Assist the HR team on daily basis when needed.


[9] Provide backup to mailroom (sorting and handling mail).


[10] Coordinates and assist with employee relation functions such as Service Awards, Christmas Party, Employee of the Month, etc.


[11] Maintain the perfect attendance spreadsheet, as needed.


[12] Manage the attendance tracking system in ADP.


EDUCATION:


High school education. Post high school education preferred.


EXPERIENCE:


2+ years of general human resources or general office experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.


INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY:


Normal initiative required to research and verify information.


RESPONSIBILITY:


Privy to confidential personnel and financial information.


SUPERVISION:


No supervisory responsibility. May assist in training of newly hired clerical employees.
