Marketplace Brands is a product development and distribution company. We specialize in creating holiday gift sets and work with some of the world’s largest brands. We have an immediate need for a talented, enthusiastic and highly organized Human Resources Generalist to join our growing HR Department. This role will report to the Human Resources Manager and requires close interaction with all employees.

The ideal candidate must have had experience with all facets of the Human Resources Department and have dealt with hourly and salary employees.

Working under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, you will be:

• Responsible for recruiting: advertising, liaison with external recruitment sources, interviewing, background checks, on-boarding, orientation and new hire training.
• Create, maintain, and/or update job descriptions for all job classifications.
• Maintain time and attendance system for all employees and temporary employees.
• Maintain employee files both paper and electronically.
• Interpret, assist and advise managers and employees regarding, leave management and HR procedures and policies, and discipline within the specified guidelines.
• Consult with HR manager on issues; investigating human resource related problems and making recommendations to the organization, legal issues and government compliance issues.
• Assist with maintaining policies and procedures, review and update Employee Handbook when necessary.
• Prepare a variety of external/internal reports weekly, monthly and annually or as requested.
• Respond to all inquiries for employees from outside sources such as: unemployment claims, letters of reference, employment verifications and any other employment inquires.
• Maintain and coordinate training for all employees according to established schedule and program compliance.
• Maintain OHSA records and files including accident reports. Implement safety rules and safety training.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Bi-lingual in Spanish

Experience: 8+ years

Physical Demands: Long periods of sitting, constant computer usage

Environment: Typical office environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
