We are currently seeking a dependable, detailed-orientated individual to serve as a HR Generalist. The HR Generalist is responsible for carrying out various administrative tasks and procedures to support the day-to-day Human Resources operations. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting functions including screening and forwarding resumes, coordinating interviews, and assist with candidate selection
- Process and coordinate pre-employment checks, conduct on-boarding and new hire orientation
- Assist with leave of absences
- Administer benefits enrollment
- Ensure records in HRIS and other databases are up to date and complete
- Perform various audits to records to ensure compliance and completeness
- Enter and process new hires and terminations
- Conduct exit interviews
- Coordinate and handle sensitive information
- Perform administrative duties and data entry
- Enforce company policies and practices
- Answer general employee inquiries or concerns; escalate issues; advise supervisors and managers on employee relations
- Complete assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Coordinate information and work with various departments to complete tasks
- Assist with identifying process improvement recommendations
- Serve as payroll backup as needed
- Other projects and duties assigned

- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with multiple levels of management

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent years of experience required
- 1-3 years of job-related experience required
- PHR or SHRM certification preferred
- Knowledge of common state and federal employment laws and regulations
- Advanced Microsoft skills including Adobe, Word, and Excel preferred
- Paycom or Workday software experience preferred
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be alert and is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions and Additional Requirements
This job operates in an office environment. Office hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional needs outside standard business hours to accommodate meetings, training and projects. Some travel may be required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
