Job Description:

We are currently seeking skilled HVAC Mechanic Helpers in the Naples/Ft Myers area with a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in the construction of commercial HVAC specific to medical facilities. As a HVAC Helper you will assist with performing layouts of roof penetrations, ducting and the layout of sheet metal fittings; Knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools; Ability to complete sheet metal layouts and fabrications, good mechanical skills; knowledge and understanding of heating, A/C, ventilation, control systems and humidity and temperature control systems along with equipment. Ability to read blueprints and other specifications required by contract documents and provide support to HVAC Mechanic by following job schedules, i.e., labor hours, and material costs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings detailing HVAC duct fittings.

Provide assistance to the construction lead and foremen as needed on the job.

Knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools.

Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.

Ability to help complete sheet metal layouts and fabrications, good mechanical skills.

Must be able to work on high ladders, roof tops and scaffolding and pick up 50-100 lbs.

Requirements:

2 years HVAC light commercial installing experience.

Minimum OSHA certification 10 hours.

Must possess a current valid driver s license.

Flexibility for travel and working overtime/weekends, as required.

Knowledgeable in setting equipment, installing various types of duct systems ranging from skip and drive, duct mate, TDC, various dampers, and all other related appurtenances of the air side of HVAC.

Healthcare projects a plus.

Lull and scissor lift training a plus.
