William C. Reynolds currently looking for HVAC (heating and air) Sheet Metal Installers to fill several openings. Interested candidates should have at least 2 years of HVAC experience and knowledge of installation, maintenance, cleaning, modifying, and operating residential HVAC equipment.
HVAC Sheet Metal Worker
Hickory, NC
William C. Reynolds isseeking HVAC Sheet Metal Workers in the Hickory, NC area for working on commercial projects.The ideal sheet metal worker will assist with the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment including ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, casings, HVAC systems, and similar applications. Entry-level pay 13 up to 18 for skilled based on work history and certifications.
HVAC Installer Responsibilities
- Prepare, fabricate and install ductwork to specifications
- Install hangars, supports, according to plans and applicable specifications
- Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment
- Refrigerant piping, duct installation, and gas piping.
- Read blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required
- Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and safety plans.
Sheet Metal Worker Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble items as specified by building plans/drawings and renderings
- Install assembled and fabricated items onsite at a commercial worksite.
HVAC Installer Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of HVAC heating and air experience
- EPA Certified and NATE preferred
- Ability to climb a ladder and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Pass Drug screen and background check
- Troubleshooting background and skills
- Knowledgeable of installation, cleaning, modifying and operating HVAC equipment
- All HAVAC applicants must submit to both a pre-employment criminal background check, testing and drug screen.
Sheet Metal Worker Requirements:
- Sheet metal mechanic/worker experience.
- Math skills including advanced ruler/measurement skills
- Able to lift 100 lbs over a 8-12 hour shift.
- Able to lift, bend, stand, stoop, squat, climb ladders and use hand tools to grab/grasp over a 8-12 hour shift.
- Strong solid work ethic and good attendance with reliable transportation
- Ability to learn, take direction, and interact with managers and coworkers professionally.
- Willing to submit to a background and pre-employment drug screen along
