IT Technical (Data) Project Manager

Direct Hire 1099 or W2 only.

The client is not offering VISA sponsorship or subcontracting for this position.

This role is local to Dallas/Ft Worth and has a Hybrid WFH vs Office option.

The Technical Project Manager role will manage processes to deliver technology projects that span multiple products. The PM will lead these projects from initiation through implementation, including establishing project requirements, priorities and deadlines; ensuring that relevant risk and architecture requirements are in place; and managing the project budget and resources. In addition to collaborating with the development team, the PM will communicate with business stakeholders across enterprise to work towards the best possible outcome.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• 
  Manage scrum teams and Coach the development team on the agile development process and Scrum framework
• Define project scope and schedule, organize and lead project status and working meetings, provide status reporting and manage risks and issues.
• Effectively communicate with business and engineering team and clearly articulate problem statements and solutions.
• Be able to work with external vendors and manage cross-team, cross-functional roadmaps and dependencies.
• Hold weekly status meetings and communicate status and issues to team members and stakeholders.
• Monitoring project progress and implementing changes where necessary
• Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
• Hold team accountable for commitments, remove roadblocks, and champion ongoing process improvements for cross-functional teams.

“MUST HAVE” SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• 
  8-10+ years, Project Management Experience with large-scale enterprise applications
• PMP Certification is a plus
• Leads Scrum meetings and creates and follows up on meeting minutes/action items.
• Facilitate Scrum events including daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
• Candidate should have 3+ years of experience with data lake cloud environment, large-scale data migration and/or enterprise reporting projects.
• Retail experience is a plus
• Scaled Agile experience is a plus, including experience with Jira/Rally/TFS.
• Ability to communicate complex information to all stakeholders of the project status updates, roadmaps, timeline updates, risks, and issues. This would include executive status reports and project dashboards.
• Should be self-driven, proactive (someone that can take the initiative and drive to complete tasks and does not need daily directions) and should act with urgency
• Must be able to take the initiative and ownership towards project management and solution development. Primarily able to operate independently, with minimal supervision/direction
• Must be able to demonstrate project management skill set with past experiences on previous projects
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Stays on the leading edge of software development best practices in a Program management

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• 
  Agile experience (nice to have)
• Retail experience is preferred

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 8+Years
