We are hiring caregivers to join our McCammon team. We are looking for compassionate, professional individuals who will provide quality in-home care to seniors. The ideal candidate is friendly, patient and communicates well.

The job is demanding both physically and mentally. Working with you and your schedule is important to us and we will do our best to match your preferences with our client availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients in taking their prescribed medication
• Helping clients with mobility issues in and out of the house including walks, doctor's appointments, activities, etc.
• Complete shopping for the client or accompany them in doing so
• Transportation, driving clients to and from doctors appointments, stores, etc.
• Meal preparation and planning
• Helping clients complete their physical therapy exercises
• Completing light housekeeping around the house
• Provide supportive, uplifting companionship
• Communicating with the team and reporting any issues to management
• Ability to act in a quick and responsible manner during emergency situations

Skills

• Previous experience as a caregiver or in related field
• Excellent understanding of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
• Good understanding of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to follow health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Ability to build strong rapport with clients and their families
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Ethics
• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
