JOB SUMMARY:
Maintains Office of the Sheriffs records, which includes Unified Police Department, Protective Services, Adult Detention Center (Training of their employees, as well as processing of their Records Management Incident Reports, to include all arrest bookings that occur at the Adult Detention Center. Performs clerical support duties on a rotating basis, in ten different areas within the Technical Services Division. Provide customer service to the public, as well as private and law enforcement agencies. Performs other duties as required by, the office.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a High Diploma or GED
- 6 months experience preferred working in a clerical position
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Knowledge of:
- General office procedures
- Business English
- Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation
- Simple Math (addition and subtraction)
- Professional Telephone Etiquette
Skills and Abilities to:
- Perform general office procedures
- Operate computers and Ability to Access Programs
- Standard Office Machines: e.g., photocopier, fax machines, scanner, paper shredder, calculator).
- Follow Oral and Written Instruction
- Demonstrate Public Relations Skills
- Communicate effectively with various social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Communicate effectively with supervisory staff and co-workers.
