Responsibilities

The Information Technology Specialist will address productivity-impacting issues/incidents and resolve the issue as quickly as possible or assess the issue, and its impact, to ensure it is routed to the proper Saint Therese employees for review and resolution. The Information Technology Specialist will also be responsible for the overall maintenance of desktops, servers, telephony, data backup processes, and other network lifecycle activities. The position may also be called upon to participate in technology projects

Education: Associates or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field of study

Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience on an IT Help Desk troubleshooting employee IT issue.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • PC troubleshooting supporting a large volume of employees.
    • Troubleshooting Local Area Networks
    • Training end users in Microsoft Office 365 and/or MS Office installation and troubleshooting
    • Using Help Desk ticket management software – Preferably ConnectWise Manage
    • Phone troubleshooting (digital/analogue)
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Training end users in Windows 10 and/or Windows 10 installation and troubleshooting.
    • Using Active Directory creating User Accounts, User Account Templates, Security Groups, Organizational Units, working with and understanding the role of AD Object Attributes, etc.
    • Working in NTFS: applying permissions across multiple levels of a directory structure
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve IT issues quickly
  • Demonstrated exceptional Customer Service experience
  • Previous experience with IP Phone systems “Mitel”. (not required, preferred)
