We have an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation Maintenance Consultant to join the Add Energy team in Houston, Texas to support us in various projects and operations.
This position has the potential to become permanent.
As our Instrumentation Maintenance Consultant, you will support our clients in the oil and gas industry. The candidate will be consulting clients on maintenance optimization and developing maintenance strategies, job plans, and maintenance procedures. In addition, you will:
- Act as Instrumentation Consultant in development for the following scopes of work/activities:
- Maintenance Policy and Strategy Development.
- Critical Element Management / Assurance Strategies.
- Development of procedures and standards for Instrumentation Maintenance and Planning.
- SIS/SIL Review and Identification.
- Maintenance Strategy Development & Optimization.
- Manning Assessments & Skills Requirements.
- Performance Indicators.
- Interpreted reliability data results and provide input to RCA.
- Prepares spares lists for PMRs with CMMS.
- Carries out maintenance build QA.
- Develops and builds electronic equipment hierarchy structures.
- Assigns equipment failure codes and equipment descriptions.
- Develops maintenance strategies, procedures and method statements that will comply with the clients maintenance requirements.
- Prepares, controls and updates planned maintenance routines.
- Builds maintenance plans including ‘object lists’, ‘routes’, ‘packages’, frequencies, job tasks, sequencing and planned maintenance routines.
The roles are based in Houston, United States. THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE AND WORK IN THE UNITED STATES
We are looking for driven and solution-oriented professionals with sound technical skills and good decision-making capabilities. The successful candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal effectively with multiple issues and assignments simultaneously. In addition:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or significant demonstrable experience.
- Proven 5+ years’ of relevant experience the in energy/oil & gas industry as an Instrumentation Discipline Engineer.
- Experienced in maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, and testing Instrumentation equipment.
- Experienced in managing work orders to meet maintenance requirements.
- Ability to converse comfortably at a technical level with peer engineers.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to train and mentor Junior Engineers.
- Technical Writing experience in developing maintenance procedures or standards.
Desirable Skills:
- Understanding of SAP and Maximo.
- Offshore, Onshore, and/or Plant Experience.
- Actively participated in a PHA review.
- Experience in a client-facing environment.

Salary: $70.00 - $110.00 per hour
