Interim HealthCare, a leading Home Health agency in South Carolina and 6X Top Workplace winner, has an immediate opening for a Home Health Intake Analyst (Orthopedic Support). This position is responsible for the acceptance, initiation, assignment, documentation and communication of all referrals to the appropriate department. The Intake Analyst serves as a leader of customer service for Home Health business line within the Agency. Collaborates with Business Development Liaisons and other appropriate staff regarding orthopedic referrals before and after surgery.

What you'll do as an Intake Coordinator:

  • Coordinates the development of a consistent intake process for Home Health in accordance with current process, policy, and procedure.
  • Accepts and processes referrals via phone, by fax, or through electronic portal
  • Creates the shell of the referral in the electronic medical record
  • Attaches referral documentation to the chart created in the electronic medical record
  • Reviews referral documentation and prepares patient charts for orthopedic patients
  • Completes the demographic, clinical, and financial information for orthopedic patients
  • Enters pertinent information into the electronic medical record
  • Communicates additional information received from referral sources on referrals pending to the appropriate area
  • Collaborates on acceptance of referrals with appropriate Directors/Managers as needed
  • Collaborates with Business Development Liaisons and other appropriate staff regarding orthopedic referrals before and after surgery
  • Directly responsible for the adherence to the referral process for all Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, and all other referrals.
  • Coordinates the implementation of consistent customer service standards. Customer service standards include standards to:
  • Responds to patient/client care needs by providing complete and accurate information within scope of Intake Analyst or refers the caller to the Sales Support Manager or other appropriate resource.
  • Documents calls/communication to/from customers and follow up/outcome of calls.

Requirements:
  • High school degree required, college degree preferred, or equivalent years of training or work experience.
  • Minimum of one year health care/business experience in a fast-paced, customer service environment.
