INTAKE COORDINATOR – BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Horizon Health is seeking an Intake Coordinator to work with the psychiatric units at Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings, MT. This is a full-time 40 hour per week position with benefits.

The Intake Coordinator, in conjunction with the Program Director and Nursing Supervisor, coordinates the referral development and pre-admission patient assessment process, and provide clinical assessments for potential clients.

Some of this position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conducts on site patient assessments in the Emergency Department, as needed
• Responds to intake calls and completes admission paperwork
• Coordinates treatment with physicians and other healthcare and social agencies
• Coordinates and participates as a direct liaison with appropriate interested parties and physicians through the patient referral inquiry and admission process
• Reviews newly admitted and recently discharged patient accounts

Requirements:
Requires Registered Nurse (RN), or Master’s prepared Social Worker or Counselor (Licensed MSW or Counselor preferred). Must have at least two years’ experience in admissions, intake or marketing social services; preferably behavioral health/psychiatry.
