Interior Designer Job Summary

Job Description: Assist with all aspects of design.

Reports to: VP of Design


Job Responsibilities:
The Interior Designer must have sophisticated design taste, be

extremely organized and have a true passion for details. They must also have the ability to

prioritize, work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be motivated to do whatever it

takes to get the job done right and on time. Detailed responsibilities are as follows:

  • Create design boards to present concepts to team for aesthetic and budget approval
  • Select FF&E (including, but not limited to: finishes, lighting, artwork, indoor

furniture, outdoor furniture) for resident units and public spaces

  • Create and maintain spreadsheet documentation for FF&E budget
  • Purchase FF&E according to Accounting protocol
  • Oversee and coordinate delivery and storage of FF&E
  • Use AutoCAD/Revit to create and edit design documents
  • Build SketchUp models to help envision and finalize proposed designs
  • Meet with furniture and material representatives to broaden knowledge and keep

up with current trends

  • Assist Staging Coordinator with model apartments as needed
  • Collaborate with VP of Design, Design Project Manager, and Asset Manager on

multiple projects

Additional Requirements:

  • Degree in Interior Design
  • 2+ years experience in interior design
  • Sophisticated design style
  • Professional appearance and manner
  • Excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Confidence and leadership with team members, while also personable with vendors
  • Work both independently and as part of a team
  • Follow directions and execute them in a clear, precise manner
  • Successfully manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Communicate clearly and calmly even in emotional, high-pressured, tight scheduledriven

situations

  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel
  • Must possess excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.
  • Travel to properties outside of Pennsylvania may be required
  • Available for tasks that may require additional hours extending beyond typical

workday

  • Proficiency for organization and an acute attention to detail to get the job completed

perfectly. This IS the position
