Are you a High School student and love science, biology or are considering a career in Veterinary medicine? Consider applying for our* Intro Veterinary Hospital Assistant position. As an Intro Hospital Assistant, *you will be working alongside and learning from our Adobe Superheroes. This position is perfect for someone who is looking to get experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine.

Adobe Animal Hospital is unlike any other hospital for many reasons, and one of them is our Open Hospital policy. Our Open Hospital allows our clients to stay with their pet throughout their visit. This policy creates a unique experience to showcase your teamwork and communication skills while encouraging you to gain veterinary medical knowledge.

Shifts: Day
Position Location: 2-3 months training in Los Gatos. Permanent position in Los Altos or Los Gatos. *Depending on our staffing needs*
Starting Base Wage: $17.65/Hourly + additional differentials, see below!

• Base wages- are determined by what skills you know on the Adobe competency skills list.
• Once you have leveled up past the intro assistant skill levels you will move to assistant skill levels. This allows for continued career growth not only in your skill knowledge but also in your base wage.

• Differentials- Weekend- $3/hr., 40-Hour Work Week- $2.25/hr., RVT License-$6/hr.

Intro Hospital Assistant

• Into Level 1
• Cleaning and stocking through the entire hospital, laundry: including isolation and surgical laundry, scanning and shredding of documents in our CSR department

• Intro Level 2
• Restraint of well-mannered dogs and cats, holding for ultrasounds. drawing up vaccines (but NOT administering them), entering basic charges (vaccines, nail trims, anal glands), assisting with our boarding patients, staining slides and changing/ cleaning stain

• Intro Level 3
• Rooming regular appointments and tech appointments (weights and temps), nail trims on well-mannered animals (with another tech/tech assistant present), Helping clients and patients in/out of their cars
