The Market Innovation and Development (MID) team at Go Ahead is looking for a strategic, detail-oriented analyst to work in Inventory management. This individual will oversee key inventory processes and manage a variety of requests which require a high level of attention to detail and critical thinking. In this position you can expect to cross paths with every team at Go Ahead, but you will collaborate most closely with Operations, Customized, Sales, Service, Finance, and Program Coordination. The core responsibilities of this role will be inventory related, but this person will have many opportunities to assist with projects across the MID team.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has a broad knowledge of Go Ahead, including but not limited to tour itineraries, sales trends, operational & travel policies, and booking patterns
- Is strategically and analytically minded
- Displays high levels of organization and attention to detail
- Is comfortable communicating to staff across multiple teams and offices
- Can prioritize and work efficiently to meet long and short-term deadlines
- Makes decisions with the big picture in mind, considering how both the business and the customer will be impacted by inventory strategy
- Is comfortable using excel & tableau and learning new systems
- Self-starter who can take ownership and adapt quickly to project needs
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Assist with day-to-day inventory operations including tour cancellations and adding new dates
- Manage the exclusive group inbox including:
- Processing all EXGP requests from group sales and distributing them to the correct operations manager
- Building out new tour departures
- Maintenance on existing departures
- Process requests from the operations and travel teams and adjust tour status/capacity/rooming in Jafar
- Process requests from the sales teams to add inventory or hold space on existing inventory
- Coordinate closing inventory and rebooking customers when necessary
- General inventory systems maintenance
- Provide Inventory support and coverage for Customized Tours Team
- Complete and initiate strategic inventory projects
