A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INVENTORY SPECIALIST

As an Inventory Specialist, you work hard to maintain a well-stocked, efficiently organized inventory to support our manufacturing operations. Your goal is to maintain a consistent stock of supplies and materials, and you do so by communicating regularly with our warehouse manager and conducting frequent audits of the physical inventory in our warehouse. Determining our needs based on supply and demand, you place orders for materials and track the orders from start to finish. If inventory issues arise, you identify root causes and work to resolve them so that our business can continue to run smoothly.

In addition to physical audits on the materials in our warehouse, you analyze complex data and communicate with your teammates to keep tabs on the contents of our warehouse and anticipate future needs. Prioritizing consistency and accuracy, you conduct and monitor periodical cycle counts and prepare reports for our purchasing department and the warehouse manager. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN INVENTORY SPECIALIST

• 2+ years of experience with inventory process management

• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or warehouse management system (WMS) software
n
• Forklift experience
n
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
n
• Ability to occasionally work overtime
n
