Hiring pay range: $29.17 - $36.46

General Purpose:
Provide analyst level (Level 1-2) IT support and services for the Department of Human Services (DHS). Collaborate with County IT department, State OIT, vendors, and other subject matter experts to gather input and provide IT support and services to the Department of Human Services. Operate, maintain, and monitor DHS computer systems and peripheral equipment.
Essential Functions:

- Acts as a liaison, and works closely with the Director of Human Services (DHS), Director of IT, and the Services Administrator for DHS to determine the best use of IT technologies, effective delivery of day-to-day IT operations, ensuring that IT service & support is delivered in a professional manner.
- Represents IT on various DHS committees & task forces.
- Performs analysis and recommends method and procedural changes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Evaluate DHS products in hardware, software and telecommunications equipment. Recommends purchases consistent with DHS short and long-term objectives.
- Plan, coordinate and test the design, development, installation, implementation and modification of business application hardware and software for the Human Services Department.
- Research new and emerging industry trends, best practices and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain and upgrade professional knowledge and skills through reading, networking, and attending webinars, workshops, conferences, and other trainings.
- Plan, develop, design, and implement security policies, protocols, and programs to safeguard the DHS software and data from unauthorized or accidental modification, destruction or disclosure.
- Attends DHS Senior Management meetings & County IT meetings to collaborate & learn more about DHS technology needs, as well as IT improvements & expectations within the County.
- Authorize user access to operating systems and data files, monitor user activity and report all internal and external violations of security policy, protocols, and procedures.
- Create and manage user directories and files on the server platforms.
- Seek out ways to maximize system(s) capabilities and efficiencies through use of technology.
- Work with County IT and outside vendors to provide necessary integration activities in support of existing or new applications and software.
- Conducts routine maintenance and provides technical support for workstations, including hardware maintenance and operating systems maintenance for Human Services. Undertake necessary activities to provide Level 1-2 support for DHS.
Performs other duties of a similar or related level and assists with special projects as necessary or assigned.
