Our Atlanta, GA team seeks a driven and independent IT Project Engineer. As an IT Project Engineer, you are responsible for scoping, planning, and facilitation of IT projects for Managed IT Clients and also be a point of technical escalation point for our level 3 support team. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, well organized, a team player, and a problem solver.
Responsibilities:
Scoping, planning, and implementation of, or a combination of one or many of:
- Server and network projects – including server HW design and RAID config
- Hyper-V/ VMWare, Failover Clustering and Storage Area Network projects.
- Firewall, switch, Wi-Fi (AP), and vLAN projects.
- Backup solutions.
- Support Microsoft solution technologies including Windows Servers/Exchange, Office365.
- Provide timely and effective resolution to support requests based on internal and external service level agreements (SLA).
- Participate in the creation of proactive measures to anticipate and/or remove the need for traditional service and support.
- Provide ongoing, regular updates to customers to keep them informed of project status.
- Create and update technical documentation.
- Providing onsite installation and other professional services as needed.
- Provide remote and on-site support in the diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving system issues. Includes analyzing and resolving any system issues that are causing system service disruptions.
- Provide technical support and recommendations to TAM/VCiO
- Participate in on & offsite client meetings as needed.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge of:
- PowerShell
- VPN, DHCP, DNS, OSPF, Load balancing,
- SharePoint/OneDrive
- GPO
- Anti-Virus
- Security design, network and system.
- iDRAC, ILO
- UPS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
- 5 or more years of related work experience required
- Excellent analytical ability and communications skills required
- Customer service skills required
- Strong organizational abilities and a passion for excellence
- Experience troubleshooting required
- CCNP preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with VOIP, Intermedia experience preferred, but not required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license issued in your state of residence
