The IT Security Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems at Youth Villages with an emphasis on security.

Qualifications:
Bachelors in computer related field or equivalent experience (Required)
Certification and Licensures Requirements
3-5 years’ experience in related field
A+, N+ and MCP certifications are a plus

Position Summary
The IT Security Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems at Youth Villages with an emphasis on security.
Essentia l Duti es and Responsibilities
Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions tomanagement- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
- Assist the IT Systems Administrator with configuring and maintaining servers across multiple locations
- Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures
- Educate and train staff on information system security best practices
- Approve and deploy updates for corporate applications and operating systems
- Configure and maintain network hardware including, but not limited to, switches, routers, servers, workstations and fiber equipment
- Manage Active Directory and group policies for multiple OUs and AD sites
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as needed for various systems.
- Ensure security of Youth Villages’ networks using intrusion detection, firewall configuration, anti-virus protection and vulnerability assessment.
- Manage technical projects of different lengths and scopes
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve software and hardware issues
- Work with a team of technicians to create effective and efficient solutions to problems
- Maintain documentation and training materials
Qualifications:
Requirements
Bachelors in computer related field or equivalent experience (Required)
Certification and Licensures Requirements
3-5 years’ experience in related field
A+, N+ and MCP certifications are a plus
Microsoft Windows Server versions 2008R2 – 2019
Microsoft 365 configuration and troubleshooting
Network firewall configuration and troubleshooting
SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), PAM (Privileged Access Management), MDR (Managed Detection & Response), and mail filtering systems
Network and system monitoring with software like PRTG
DFS, network-printing, file shares, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFTS file permissions
Microsoft Office applications
Cloud-based network management with vendors like Meraki and Ubiquiti
Virtualization using MS Hyper-V or VMWare
Backup and restore procedures using Veeam or similar backup solution
Microsoft 365 configuration and troubleshooting
Network firewall configuration and troubleshooting
