Who are we?

Our organization also provides job opportunities through the Custodial and Business Contracts Division. Those who are hired through the MERS/Goodwill Custodial and Business Contracts Division become well-trained and reliable workers. MERS Goodwill is then able to better serve local businesses with services like office cleaning, snow removal, paper processing, and more. The revenue from these services then goes back into more training and education programs, so that we can continue to provide reliable, quality contracted business services.

What is the job like?

Each day revolves around you and your team representing MERS Goodwill by showing your attention to detail by performing cleaning of various types at assigned site, maintain a safe working environment; interact professionally with customers, vendors, and commuters. This is an active and fast-paced environment where you will be on your feet the majority of the time.

Essential/Primary Functions:

• Lift and operate standard janitorial equipment and supplies.
• Sweep and mop frequently with motorized equipment.
• Dust with rags, extended handle brushes and other dusting tools.
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners.
• Respond to spot clean-up requests.
• Empty garbage and trash cans as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: No degree required, High School Degree or equivalent is preferred. Must be able to read simple signs and instructions, lift various weights repetitively, stand for extended periods and tolerate extreme temperatures.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
