On the other hand, if you are willing to be a student of the market and are coachable, then this position is really something you can sink your teeth into. Working in this industry is extremely fast paced and ever changing. Someone who can handle high stress environments and can adapt quickly, will fit well into this role.
This is an entry level position that can and will develop into more senior roles as milestones (which will be laid out for incoming brokers) are achieved.
To work as a commodity broker, you will need to pass the series 3 exam and pass a background check to acquire your license.
This role will include:
- Out bounding warm leads
- Building/Managing a book of business
- Leading in-person and/or web-based conferences and/or meetings
- Develop knowledgebase through continued education and on-the-job training
- Advising positions and risk management strategies to clients based on their needs and wants
