LOCATION: LA or NY (remote) with LA working hours

SUMMARY:

A top entertainment and corporate lifestyle public relations collective is looking for an exceptional Junior Publicist to join its innovative team on groundbreaking work for influential celebrities and companies. The ideal candidate understands the media landscape and can multi-task under breaking deadlines and have a solution-oriented mindset to stay one step ahead of all outcomes. This candidate must have excellent communication skills, maintain the highest level of confidentiality, can keep up with a fast-paced office, and remain composed in high-pressure environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report to several partners with an opportunity to work across multiple publicists’ desks. Always be ready to provide team support.

• Keep up to date with all clients. Drafting press materials and client schedules.

• Building media relationships.

• Brainstorming pitch angles.

• Client coverage at events, movie/tv premieres, junkets, tv appearances.

REQUIREMENTS:

• The ideal candidate understands the media landscape and can multi-task under breaking deadlines and have a solution-oriented mindset to stay one step ahead of all outcomes

• This candidate must have excellent communication skills and can keep up with a fast-paced office, and remain composed in high-pressure environments

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proactive nature that is focused, sharp, and has a hard-working spirit

• Motivated, resourceful, able to work independently or as part of a team

• Be extremely well-organized and able to work in a supremely fast paced environment

• A creative, solution-oriented thinker and a multi-tasker who can meet deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously

EDUCATION:

College degree preferred. 5 years’ experience in publicity.
