Springwater Environmental Sciences School: A kindergarten to eighth-grade charter school located in Oregon City, Oregon School Vision: The vision for Springwater Environmental Sciences School is to create a comprehensive school program for a maximum of 200 students in grades K-8, providing all students with the opportunity to learn in and through the sciences, building upon and encouraging their natural love of learning. Position: 5 hour a day Special Education Instructional Assistant primarily grades K-3 Working from 8:30-2:00 (This time frame could be flexible based on availability). Duties and responsibilities: Instruct students in small groups and individually in the special and regular education classrooms-primarily grades K-3Assist with documenting and collecting information to demonstrate progress towards students goals which may involve actively monitoring students during structured academic times or unstructured non academic activities such as recess, lunch and field trips Provide input to the teachers to develop programming and behavior plans as well as participate in planning meetings if possible Supervise at lunch and recess. Help set up and take down lunchroom tables and clean up between and after lunches.

Qualifications: Two year associate degree in child development or equivalent experience of working with students with special needs. Knowledge of word processing and basic computer usage skillsFamiliarity with online learning platforms such as Zoom. Patience for working with students with behavior challenges Familiarity working with confidential information while acting as a model for students Ability to work with different staff and students in a variety of settings Ability and willingness to lift and move heavy objects. Starting salary or wages: $19.27-$28 per hour (depending on previous experience) This position will be PERS eligible.
