Forest Hill Animal Hospital is seeking an outgoing, mature, and responsible individual that loves dogs and cats to join our team.
Job Description:
- Safely manage groups of dogs and know the difference between dogs playing and dogs being aggressive.
- Feeding and providing water to all animals.
- Cleaning up after dogs/cats maintaining a clean and sanitary facility (inside & outside).
o Clean suites, runs, cages, and cat condos
o Clean play yard
o Laundry
o Performing daily kennel and hospital maintenance
- Bathing, nail trims, clipping mats, and cleaning ears.
- Properly restraining and handle all sizes of animals.
- Assisting veterinarians and veterinarian technicians.
- Answering receptionist pages for drop offs and pickups.
Job requirements:
- Able to handle all sizes of animals and temperaments in a calm and professional manner.
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and stand on feet all day long (10 hour shifts) in a labor intensive environment.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, and patience.
- Be detailed oriented – this is very important!
- Expected to work some weekends and holidays – no exceptions.
- Must be 18 years or older.
