Job description

The Passaic County Clerk’s office is seeking a highly motivated full time Keyboarding Clerk 1 who will perform routine, repetitive clerical work involving the processing of documents in a variety of functions. Key enters/types correspondence, documents, reports, and other materials on a computer console or other key entry device used by the agency.

Example of work may include:

· Key enters or types information from handwritten draft into final draft or final form.

· Provide general, routine information in person or over the telephone.

· Edits, proofreads, and performs spelling or grammar checks to ensure accuracy.

· Simple arithmetic calculations and tabulations.

· Receives applications, documents and forms, screens, sorts and assembles this information for further processing.

· Perform tasks accurately within prescribed time frames.

· Hand stamps letters, receipts, and other documents.

· Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English & Spanish sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.

Occasional work in evenings and on weekends is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,700.00 per year
