Job Title: Kitchen Helper

Reports To: Line Supervisor

Direct Reports: N/A

Status: Non-Exempt

Scope and General Purpose:

_ _A Kitchen Helper ensures that the kitchen is clean and organized.

_Main Duties: _

_ _

· Sweeps and mops floors.

· Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.

· Separates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.

· Steam-cleans or hoses -out garbage cans.

· Takes trash to trash compactor.

· Washes pots, pans, and trays by hand and using the dishwashing machine.

· Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.

· Polishes silver.

· Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of golf cart or another vehicle.

· May assist prep cook with the washing and peeling of fruits and vegetables, using knife or peeling machine.

· Loads or unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is not required but preferred.

• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.

• Strong communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills.
