MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Able to gain an understanding of all Proto activities
• Plan and schedule the efficient use of manpower and equipment to accomplish daily objectives
• Ensures associate's ability to safely assemble, package, or repack components into required configurations as well as operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage and production configurations
• Provides appropriate equipment and tools to ensure the safe transport, storage, and manufacturing of all materials
• Responsible for WMS and SAP functions as they relate to the movement of product from VAS to the DC, DC to VAS, and the movement of product within VAS
• Coach, train, and appraise new hires to attain the highest operational quality and achieve specified productivity levels
• Support development of direct reports through coaching and various training initiatives
• Continuously monitor performance standards in the department and seek operational improvements to raise those standards when possible
• Maintain a highly motivated workforce by timely communications, displaying an attitude of consistency and fairness, and recognition for good work or ideas
• Advises Supervisor of issues with associates in need of counsel or disciplines as necessary
• Strong commitment to safety, housekeeping, productivity, and quality with demonstrated results
• Researches root cause analysis of missing or found product using WMS/SAP
• Must have above average attendance, response to requests to support special operations, and ability to support overtime for success in this position
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Education Required:

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Some college is a plus

Work Experience Required:

• 1-2 years' experience in distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing required
• WMS or similar distribution software experience required
• Leadership experience and ability in a warehouse environment is preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus

Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Broad knowledge of methods and procedures used in the various distribution center functions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to train
• Computer proficiency including use of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands
• Required to lift and/or move 10 lbs regularly and up to 35 lbs occasional
• Occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures
