Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in Kansas City MO is looking for truck builders that have experience with up fitting trucks, mig welding, and have an understanding of automotive electrical system.

What We Do

We provide a wide range of options/equipment for your work vehicle to make your daily work life easier such as - service body, KUV body, box trucks, cranes, lift gates, tuck under lift gates, under hood compressor, power inverter's, strobes, goose necks, ladder racks, sortimo shelving, flatbeds, hitches, salt spreaders, snow plows, dump bodies and much much more.

Pay Is Based On Experience

*Tools: Mechanics Set Of Tools And Tool Box/Cart Required Prior To Hiring*

Must have experience with some of the following to be considered.

1. service body installation

2. Installing lift gates

3. Installing under hood compressor

4. Installing power inverter's

5. Installing PTO's

6. Installing goose necks

7. Installing flatbeds

8. Installing salt spreaders

9. Installing snow plows

10. Installing dump bodies

11.Most importantly MIG welding experience is a requirement- you will have to perform a simple weld test during the interview process

Ability to do the following

~Performs work as outlined on build request order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Knapheide Trucking and factory standards.

~Build all units consistently by utilizing quality standards

~Ability to read, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic blueprints or schematic drawings is a plus ~Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.

~Documents work performed.

~Track-test and road-test vehicles when required.

~Uses and maintains all necessary shop and personal equipment required to complete any repairs or inspections.

~Keeps shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all Knapheide Trucking tools at all times.

~Ensures that customers’ trucks and equipment are kept clean.

~Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements, and practice them. ~Must work with and for all departments in harmony.

~Must have good time management skills

~Must be able to show up to work on time and abide by the attendance policy
