Kohler Store Sales Consultant
Reports To: Kohler Branch Manager and/or Kohler Assistant Manager
Work Hours: Full Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Branch: BR#19 Greenwich
Position Purpose:
To provide expert product selection assistance, expediting orders from vendors and conducting customer visits as needed. Increase sales, market share, company profitability and customer satisfaction by working with consumers in choosing plumbing fixtures and related items.
Essential Functions:
- Actively generates new business through project specification.
- Leverages a deep understanding of interior design and kitchen & bath products to produce sales results.
- Educates consumers on kitchen and bath products, the design process, the supply chain / delivery process and all timelines.
- Qualifies customer as to their project size, budget, & taste.
- Demonstrates effective listening skills to incorporate consumer wants into designs and understand their needs.
- Educates customers on how you and your organization differentiate from competitors.
- Leverages relationships with past clients, vendors, channel partners, manufacturers, etc. to grow business.
- Recognizes different consumer types and adjusts approach with each for optimal results.
- Establishes trusted advisor status to become a liaison between the showroom customer and the installing contractor.
- Serves as a resource for the consumer and all parties involved in the project.
- Plans for upcoming customer meetings with a defined time management process.
- Creates customer bids in line with customer expectations and completes sales order follow up activities in a timely fashion.
- Understands the basics of the construction process and when the various showroom products fit within the construction cycle.
- Keep pricing lists and structures confidential
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized showroom appearance to enhance sales
- Other duties as required

Experience, Education & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years luxury product selling required, home goods preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; verbally and written
- Familiarity with industry trends
- Result driven and customer focused
- High School diploma required; Associates degree in design preferred
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
