JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position supports the daily operation of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine divisions. The Laboratory Assistant I performs clerical, technical, or both duties as they pertain to the specific Laboratory division. This position will support the division of Histology. Duties will include instrument maintenance, technical assistance, archiving of lab assets, supply ordering, slide triage and others. The Laboratory Assistant is recognized as a vital part of the Histology team.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Computer/keyboard experience is preferred.
