Responsibilities

Job Summary:

This is a remote position resposible for organizing, planning, and coordinating quality assurance, safety, and process improvement under the direction of the laboratory director and manager.
  • Ensures all sections of the laboratory are fully compliant with CAP, CLIA, The Joint Commission, and any other applicable accreditation or regulatory agency standards related to quality and safety, in coordination with laboratory leadership.
  • Serves as a liaison between the laboratory and other hospital departments to coordinate quality improvement activities.
  • Displays competency of all quality and safety requirements of the laboratory.
  • Provides quality data and reports.
  • Ability to work independently, read and analyze technical material, communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to handle and process confidential information. Familiarity with CLIA, OSHA, CAP, JCAHO, and AABB rules and accreditation procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3 years supervisory experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field.
  • LIC GS = Nevada (state) certification asLaboratory General Supervisor. National certification in Medical Technology by ASCP.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six (6) years working experience as general medical technologist.

Pay Range

$32.08 - $46.51 /hour
