Loads and unloads bulk and bag products with respect to production, quality, safety and sanitation in an efficient manner.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Loads and unloads cars and trucks with designated products.

2. Spots cars with car puller or car jack.

3. Cleans and prepares cars for loading and unloading of Corn Operations products.

4. Secures loads and closes and seals cars where necessary.

5. Keeps count of bags being loaded and records and signs tallies.

6. Maintains a clean working area around loading area.

7. Samples product and notifies supervisor of any irregularities.

8. Performs minor repair work as required for efficient loading operations.

9. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• 
  Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of basic technology of area where assigned.
• Must have interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

The Danville plant is adding manpower to implement 12-hour shifts under a 2, 2, 3 pattern. This position can be assigned to 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift while on 8-hour shifts. When sufficiently staffed, 12-hour shifts will be implemented under a 2, 2, 3 pattern and employees can preference their shift by seniority.

The hourly rate of pay is $24.55. Second shift differential is $0.60 cents per hour, third shift $0.60 cents per hour, and the backshift when on 12-hour shifts is $0.60 cents per hour. Overtime is required.
